JOHN PINDER & CROOKED TOE OFFER RADIO-READY TUNES

Review by DAVID MALACHOWSKI

Catskill band John Pinder & Crooked Toe play classic rock with more than a touch of nostalgia. Pinder (vocals, guitar) along with the help of Andrew Wheeler (guitar) Jack Edwards (bass) and Matt Carey (drums) recorded their CD with Scott Petito at NRS Studios.

"Take A Ride" is expansive, anthemic rock 'n' roll tune about getting in the car, getting out of town and going to a destination yet unknown, but assuredly better. In "Ugly" Pinder sings, "you just crossed the line with your ugly side out." "Cry" has an early seventies lite-rock sound. A silky guitar figure announces "Fire Escape" but you won't want to leave just yet.

"Pinder has a strong, flexible, radio-ready voice that makes anything sound good. Don't miss it." -David Malachowski
